Yeah well, fuck you too, UN.

For those that don't know, the UN General Assembly resolution is voted on and passed every two years.  This resolution is to help insure human rights are protected.  The last time it was renewed it included language, condemning the execution of GLBT people just for being gay/lesbian, bi and/or transgendered.  A bill that was introduced by Uganda (one of those countries that outlaws the "gay lifestyle"), passed.  What was the bill you ask?  To remove any mention of GLBT people.  So the UN will no longer officially condemn executions of GLBT people.  What's next, having Saudi Arabia vote on womens issues.

Oh, wait.  That is happening.  The UN recently created an agency to handle women's issues world wide.  And, of course, Saudi Arabia is among the members of this board.  Though, you'll be happy to know that Iran was rejected.  Instead they went with the country that was even worse than Iran, in this regard.  So, according to UN logic, the rights of specific groups of people should be voted on by the nations that screw over that group the most.  Seriously UN, what the hell?
